Earlier this year, the NCDC approved the use of cloth face masks in reducing the spread of the the corona virus. Since then there’s been an influx of different styles, fabrics and designs of facemasks around. Most likely we’re going to be at this for most of this year.

As part of our contribution to the national efforts to limit the spread of the virus and ensure the safety of all, Eccentric will be including face masks in every purchase made regardless of how many times you place an order.

Also, we’d like to drop a few hints on how you can wear your mask appropriately while protecting your self and others around you.

1. Wear facemasks you’re comfortable with. It doesn’t have to be so tight that you can’t breathe, just snug to prevent any outspread if you happen to cough or sneeze. These masks aren’t to prevent you from getting the virus, it’s to prevent you from spreading any microbes.

2. Remove your facemasks by the ear loops not the front of the mask which covers your nose. This is to avoid touching the part of the mask that accumulates droplets.

3. Once your remove your masks, they must never be reused. You either trash it or have it washed.

4. Go for face masks made of cotton, preferably this with two layers of fabrics and a filter in between. If you can see light through it, well, you know you’re on your own.

5. Keep your hands off your face mask while it’s on. In fact keeps your hands off your face totally. Now this has turned to be one of the hardest things ever, but we have to do what we have to do. One trick you can try is to clasp your hands or keep them folded just so you can track your hand movement or reflexes. God save us

So there, if you’ve got any more tips from personal experiences or usage, you can leave them in the comment section. And remember we’re all in this together so please do your part.

As usual, stay safe.
